Just like that, a whole month had passed, consumed by wedding preparations. Now, only one day remained before the festivities would begin. A storm of emotions swirled inside me. I was happy, seeing the joy on my family's faces, but a pang of sadness lingered. Soon, I would have to leave them and the home I had grown up in.
