The wedding was held at the City Palace, an architectural marvel fit for a gathering of the world’s most influential families. After all, it was the wedding of Ekansh Singh Ranawat; no one would dare decline his invitation. We arrived at the palace in the early morning. I had left my home with a heavy heart, acutely aware that today marked the end of my childhood and the beginning of a life with my husband.
