THIRD POV :
The door to the study closed with a heavy thud, leaving Arzoo in a silence so thick it felt tangible. She remained on the floor, the cold mahogany scent of the office mixing with the salt of her tears. She finally understood. Her mother hadn't stayed away from the Haveli out of spite; she had stayed away to fulfill a dying father's wish to keep his daughter out of this darkness. In one night of desperate rebellion, Arzoo had dismantled that protection with her own hands.
